Undress ribbon bars are ribbons worn in uniform when the wearing of full-size or miniature insignia is not appropriate. Every medal has its own distinct ribbon. When word in a group they must be placed in an established Order of Precedence. Ribbons should be arranged in rows, with the most senior ribbon at the left upper row. Typically, up to 3 ribbons are arranged in a row with any additional ribbons continuing in the next row below.
Undress ribbon bars are worn when in “shirt-sleeve” dress or on a uniform tunic. They are positioned centered above the designated breast pocket.
